Prepare the Meat Sauce
Add the garlic, whole tomatoes, and tomato paste to the meat. Use a spoon to break up the tomatoes. Stir in the parsley, basil, and salt. Simmer on low heat for 45 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese and beaten eggs. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, parsley, and salt. Mix well until everything is incorporated. This creates a very creamy and rich layer.
- Try Different Meats: You can use ground turkey or Italian sausage for a different flavor.
- Add Veggies: Sautéed mushrooms or spinach make a great addition to the sauce.
- No-Boil Noodles: You can use no-boil noodles to save time during prep.
- Sweeten the Sauce: If the sauce is too acidic, add a teaspoon of sugar.
- Make it Spicy: Add red pepper flakes to the meat for a little kick.
- Fresh Herbs: Use fresh basil and parsley if you have them in your garden.
