Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes optional
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon

  • Pat the salmon dry using paper towels. This helps it cook better. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Keep it simple. Let it rest for a few minutes while you heat the pan.

Heat the Oil

  • Place a large skillet on medium heat. Add olive oil and let it warm up. Do not rush this step. A hot pan gives the salmon a nice golden crust.

Cook the Salmon

  • Place the salmon in the pan, skin side down. Cook for 4–5 minutes. Flip carefully and cook another 3–4 minutes. Remove and set aside. Keep it warm on a plate.

Make the Garlic Base

  • In the same pan, add minced garlic. Stir for about one minute. Do not burn it. The smell will become rich and inviting. This is the base of your sauce.

Add Liquids

  • Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir slowly. Let it simmer for a few minutes. The sauce will start to thicken and become creamy.

Add Cheese and Spices

  • Add parmesan cheese, oregano, thyme, and chili flakes. Mix well until smooth. Taste the sauce and adjust salt and pepper if needed.

Combine Salmon and Sauce

  • Place the salmon back into the pan. Spoon sauce over the top. Let it cook for 3–5 minutes. This helps the salmon absorb all flavors.

Garnish and Serve

  • Turn off the heat. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top. Serve warm with your favorite side. The sauce should be creamy and rich.

Notes

  • Use fresh salmon for the best taste.
  • Do not overcook the salmon. It should stay soft.
  • Add spinach for extra color and nutrition.
  • Use light cream if you want fewer calories.
  • Add sun-dried tomatoes for a deeper flavor.
  • Serve with pasta for a complete meal.
