Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

Cook the Spaghetti

  • Boil water in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt. Put spaghetti in boiling water. Cook until soft but not mushy. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Chicken

  • Use cooked chicken. You can boil or roast it before. Shred the chicken into small pieces. This helps it mix well with the sauce.

Cook the Onion

  • Heat butter in a pan. Add chopped onion. Cook until soft and light golden. Stir often to avoid burning.

Make the Creamy Sauce

  • Add cream of mushroom soup to the pan. Pour in chicken broth and milk. Mix well. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.

Add Chicken to Sauce

  • Put shredded chicken into the sauce. Mix gently. Let it cook for a few minutes. The chicken will absorb the flavor.

Combine with Spaghetti

  • Add cooked spaghetti into the sauce. Mix everything well. Make sure the pasta is fully coated.

Add Cheese

  • Add half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Stir until melted and creamy. This gives a rich taste.

Transfer to Baking Dish

  • Grease a baking dish lightly. Pour the spaghetti mixture into it. Spread evenly.

Top with Cheese

  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. This will form a golden crust.

Bake the Dish

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake for 20 minutes. The cheese should melt and turn slightly golden.

Let It Rest

  • Take the dish out of the oven. Let it sit for 5 minutes. This helps it set and makes serving easier.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for faster cooking
  • Add bell peppers for extra flavor
  • Try spicy chili flakes for heat
  • Use whole wheat pasta for a healthy option
  • Add mushrooms for more texture
  • Use cream cheese for extra creaminess
