Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken lean is best
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Preheat Your Oven

  • Start by preheating your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This step is very important so the chicken does not stick. You want a very hot oven for a crispy crust.

Mix the Ingredients

  • Place the ground chicken in a large bowl. Add the egg, Parmesan, Mozzarella, and all the spices. Use your hands or a spatula to mix everything well. Ensure the cheese is spread evenly through the meat.

Shape the Crust

  • Place the chicken mixture onto the parchment paper. Pat it down into a circle or rectangle. Aim for about 1/4 inch thickness. Do not make it too thin or it might break when you lift it.

Par-Bake the Chicken

  • Slide the tray into the oven. Bake the crust for about 20 minutes. The edges should look golden brown and the meat should be cooked through. Remove it from the oven once it looks firm.

Add Your Toppings

  • Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the baked chicken. Add more Mozzarella and your favorite toppings like pepperoni or peppers. Don't overdo the sauce or the crust might soften too much.

Final Bake

  • Place the pizza back into the oven. Bake for another 5 to 8 minutes. You want the cheese to melt and bubble. Once the cheese is slightly brown, your pizza is ready to eat.

Notes

  • Get it Dry: Use a paper towel to pat the ground chicken dry before mixing. Less moisture means a crispier crust.
  • Spicy Kick: Add red pepper flakes to the chicken mix for some heat.
  • Dairy-Free: You can use nutritional yeast instead of Parmesan for a different flavor.
  • Thin and Crispy: Use a second piece of parchment paper on top to roll the meat very thin.
  • Pesto Version: Swap the red sauce for basil pesto for a fresh, gourmet taste.
